• The two leaders strongly condemned extremism and terrorism in all of their forms. They condemned the efforts by some states to use religion to justify, support and sponsor terrorism against other coun­tries, or to use terrorism as instru­ment of state policy. They resolved to work together towards the adoption of India’s proposed Comprehensive Convention on International Terro­rism in the United Nations. In the light of growing religious extremism and radicalism in different parts of the world, they affirmed their abiding commitment to the ideals of promot­ing harmony between different cultures and faiths through interfaith dialogue. The two leaders also agreed to establish an annual Policy Dialogue to discuss issues related to peace and security in their region,
